This very small courtyard forms the focal point of the living area, with large French windows opening to create a seamless indoor–outdoor connection. The aim was to extend the living space and establish a smooth transition.
The design is contemporary with a Japanese twist, featuring climbers along the walls, a bespoke bench, and a small tree. Old English York stone was cut in situ to form an interesting pattern, breaking the building’s dominant straight lines and adding a soft complexity that will evolve as the planting matures.
